More than 100 beneficiaries received various assistance and services at the Mega Legal Services Camp cum Training & Capacity Program held at Tamlu Town ADC office premises on October 5.
According to PRA, NSLSA, the camp was organized by Longleng District Legal Services Authority in collaboration with Nagaland State Climate Change Cell, Nagaland Science and Technology Council and the Department of Science and Technology.
Delivering welcome address, Kumdilong Kessen CJM and secretary LDLSA said that this was the first Mega Legal Service Camp in Tamlu Town where various government departments came together under one umbrella to provide services and benefits to the public.
He thanked EAC Tamlu for being the major contributor towards the Mega Legal Services camp. Delivering a short speech, Mopling Phom, EAC Tamlu, enlightened the public on the importance to know legal rights and service available. He said state and central governments provide different schemes, however many were not aware on how to avail.
Mopling therefore, encouraged the public to visit the stalls and avail the benefits of such schemes.
A session addressing the issues of rising temperature was also conducted as part of the capacity program. The team also handed over the certificate to all the participants
Meanwhile, representatives of various departments like Agriculture distributed seedlings and fertilizers, NST department issued free bus pass forms for senior citizens and disability, Medical department conducted free Hemoglobin A1C (HbA1c) test, Animal Husbandry &
Veterinary Services distributed pamphlets and LDLSA provided free advice counselling, affidavit declarations on any kinds of legal assistance and PM-Kisan updates.
Aadhaar correction and registration from administration was also carried out.
