In an emergency meeting convened by NNC/GDRN (N-A) president, Kiumukam Yimkhiung on February 6, of all Council of Kilonsers, Naga Army officers and all regional heads unanimously decided to terminate general secretary, Shehoto I Yesca; L Shiludi Longkumer kilonser and secretary Tovi Yepthomi from NNC/GDRN (N-A).
In a press release, NNC/GDRN (N-A) through MIP, informed that the termination was issued for anti-government activities, misleading and false accusation against the president and for trying to disable the government.
“The mental status of Shehoto I Yesca had been in question for a long time and his true colours had now been exposed to the Naga public by his act of trying to remove the president from his position by just mere three-member team”, said the statement.
It has warned the terminated members not to use the nomenclature ‘NNC/GDRN (N-A)’ in any form or in print. It also clarified that at no point of time Tovi Yepthomi was MIP secretary or attached to the ministry.
“This termination order comes into immediate effect on the day of issue of this order”, read a statement. They also clarified to the Naga public that the government of NNC/GDRN (N-A) is intact and George Yangba Konyak, the incumbent MIP kilonser had been appointed as a caretaker general secretary of the government.
