A delegation of WC, NNPG led by convener MB Neokpao, and working conveners P Tikhak Naga and Isak Sumi, along with all the leaders of the Working Committee, met central government representatives headed by AK Mishra, adviser (North East) Ministry of Home Affairs, here on Thursday.
In a press note, WC media cell said that the leaders apprised the Central government officials on recent developments, and also stressed for an early consolidated and inclusive political solution to the Indo-Naga conflict.
The meeting discussed developing political consensus among Naga political groups and stakeholders so as to expedite resolving the issue in a broad-based manner without excluding any stakeholders.
The ongoing efforts by various Naga civil society organisations to bring unanimity among conflicting NPGs was also reviewed. The meeting emphasised maintaining consistency and continuity of the process with patience, commitment and clarity until the logical conclusion of the issue.
