Nagaland strongman athletes won four gold medals at the National Championship and qualified for the international strongman to be held in Egypt and Germany within a short span of time.
The national strongman championship 2025 organised by the Indian Strongman Sports Federation witnessed an outstanding performance by athletes from Nagaland under the aegis of the Nagaland Strongman and Fitness Association (NSFA).
The team was coached by president NSFA, Keduovilie Zumu, where four athletes participated in the prestigious event and brought home and impressive tally of four gold medals.
The gold medallists from Nagaland are: Kevidi Linyü – Gold in 120kg and also accorded with best zercher by setting a new national record in zercher lift. Vizovolie Rame – Gold in 90kg category; Zhapao Movi —Gold in 80kg and also accorded with best log press; Nganshung M Phom – Gold in 70kg and also accorded best deadlift.
Team Nagaland reportedly reached back Nagaland on March 3. The NSFA conveyed its gratefulness to all the well-wishers for the support in several forms.
