The 6th Naga sports meet, organized by the Naga Students’ Union Dehradun and the Dehradun Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union held from March 20 to March 22, at Tula’s institute, Dehradun successfully concluded. The event was held under the theme “Bridging the Gap”, emphasizing unity, sportsmanship, and community bonding among Naga students in Dehradun.
The event was graced by Major Pannyim Konyak as the chief guest. This year’s sports meet featured four teams, Falcon, Tragopan, Mithun and Hornbill. Various sporting events were conducted over the three days, with students actively participating and displaying high levels of skill, determination, and teamwork.
A notable highlight of this edition was the introduction of Naga Wrestling, a traditional Naga sport that was included for the first time in the Naga sports meet. This addition was widely appreciated as it helped promote Naga culture while adding to the competitive spirit of the event. After intense competition across multiple disciplines, Team Falcon emerged as the overall champion of the 6th Naga sports meet.
