The Dark Horse team of Dilong ward has emerged victorious at the 6th Mokokchung Inter-Ward Football Tournament (MIWFT), defeating the tournament favorite, Sangtemla Ward, with a 2-goal win.
The tournament, organized by the Marepkong Youth Association (MYA) under the theme ‘Rise as One’, was held at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex.
The event saw the Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) chairman, Imkongchuba, gracing the occasion as the guest of honour.
The champions, Dilong Ward, took home a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 along with an additional Rs. 50,000, the coveted trophy, and certificates. Meanwhile, the runners-up, Sangtemla Ward, received a cash prize of Rs. 30,000/- along with a trophy and certificates.
