The Job Fair & Career Expo, held at Don Bosco College Kohima, resulted in the shortlisting of 94 job seekers from 476 registrations by various hiring companies.
The fair was held on April 26 organised by Government of India, Ministry of Labour & Employment, office of the Sub Regional Employment Officer, National Career Service Centre for SC/ST Kohima and Differently Abled Dimapur in collaboration with the Don Bosco Placement Network Dimapur.
The prominent hiring companies at the fair were Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd, Chilibreeze, SBI Life, MRF, Seyie Auto, Employment Providers, BBQ Nation, P. Recruiting Agency.
In the Career Expo program, reputed universities, Coaching Institutes and career consultant agencies like MIT Shillong, Flywayy Institute of Airhostess Training, Infinite Learning Centre Kohima, PLS Auto Shell Industries PVT. LTD, State Institute of Hotel Management Dimapur, Assam Don Bosco University, Study Next, Assam Rifle, Indian Army Rangapahar & Indian Airforce Guwahati participated and showcased the educational courses and career opportunities to the visiting students.
Indian Army and Airforce distributed brochures and gave pre-recruitment counseling relating to Agniveer vayu scheme, Indian Army and Airforce recruitments.
Earlier, the inaugural program was led by Zevisanuo Khate coordinator of Career Guidance and Placement cell DBCK. Invocation by Rev. Fr. Dr. Xavier Mattam SDB Rector DB Campus Kohima, welcome address by Rev. Father Dr. Tious Varghese SDB principal DBC Kohima and key note address by Rev. Fr. Roy George SDB executive director AIDA Dimapur and Rev. Fr. Gabriel Karunaraj SDB National Director, DBJPN India.
