A regional workshop on rabies prevention and pig farming, organized by the Chief AH and Veterinary Office, Kohima under the National Livestock Mission – Entrepreneurship Development Program (NLM-EDP), was held on April 30 at the 4th NAP Battalion, Thizama.
In a press release 4th NAP Battalion, Thizama, Dy Commandant & PRO informed that Dr. N. Suokhrie (VAS, Chiephobozou) delivered a session on rabies awareness and prevention, while Dr. Elizabeth Yhome (DLDO) spoke on the economic potential and best practices of pig farming. Follow-up activities included anti-rabies and door-to-door pig vaccinations in the battalion camp, improving community health and livestock care.
The program was chaired by Assistant Commandant Imotemjen Jamir and a vote of thanks by Dr. Asalie (Veterinary Surgeon, Kohima). About 100 officers, families, and local residents attended the program.
