Eastern Sumi Kukami Holm (ESKH) has expressed support to the call made by Nagaland Gaon Bura Federation (NGBF) and Sumi Kukami Hoho (SKH) for ceasefire between the Government of India and NSCN-K (Ang Mai-Mulatonu).
In a press release, ESKH president Yemishe Yeptho and general secretary Lhokheyi Chophi said that any such accord must be founded on the principles of mutual understanding, reciprocal respect, and a sincere commitment to lasting peace.
The hoho said that Naga political struggle has come at an immense cost, paid for with blood, tears, and the hopes of countless generations. Therefore, ESKH said it was imperative that all responsible parties abandon the path of confrontation and instead embrace dialogue, reconciliation, and mutual compromise as tools for forging a peaceful and dignified future.
The hoho has called upon both the Centre and NSCN-K (Ang Mai-Miilatonu) to demonstrate visionary leadership. ESKH maintained that forging a ceasefire was not merely symbolic, but transformational—one that lays the groundwork for a durable and inclusive political settlement. Therefore, the hoho urged all negotiating parties to approach the peace process with integrity, transparency, and an unwavering sense of purpose.
Further, ESKH reaffirmed its “unwavering dedication” to fostering peace, unity, and social harmony. The hoho pledged to extend cooperation and active support to all stakeholders genuinely committed to resolving the Naga political issue.
Meanwhile, ESKH has appealed to all civil society groups, tribal bodies, and grassroots leaders to come together in a spirit of solidarity and collective responsibility.
It also called upon every Naga—irrespective of tribe or region to become active participants in building a future anchored in peace, justice, and shared prosperity.
