DEF Kohima and Jalukie Students’ Union Nagaland (JSUN) organized a felicitation ceremony to honor students who successfully cleared the 2025 HSLC and HSSLC exams under Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE).
DEF Kohima: A felicitation ceremony was organized at the SP Office Conference Hall, Kohima, to honor 97 children of DEF Kohima Police personnel for their outstanding performance in the HSLC and HSSLC examinations 2025 conducted by NBSE on May 6.
Superintendent of Police, Kohima, Teisovise Metha addressed the gathering, applauded the students for their dedication and perseverance. He encouraged them to remain committed to their goals and emphasized the importance of education in shaping a better society.
Among the achievers, Takayuba Ao, son of UBC Imlinungsang Ao and a student of Model Higher Secondary School, Kohima, was felicitated with a cash award of Rs. 10,000 for securing the 9th rank in the Commerce stream. The remaining 96 students received Rs. 1,000 each as a token of appreciation.
The programme was chaired by Addl. Superintendent of Police, Kohima. Dy. SP (R), Kohima, Johnny M. Patton delivered a speech on success, and the event concluded with a prayer by Pastor Rev. Vesotsü Rhakho.
JSUN: Jalukie Students’ Union Nagaland (JSUN) felicitated the students who successfully cleared the 2025 HSLC and HSSLC exams at the programme held at the Conference Hall, Lungda Market Complex, Jalukie town.
Pehiato Hingleu, administrator of Baptist Higher Secondary School Jalukie ‘B’, attended as the guest speaker and praised the students for their hard work and dedication. He highlighted the historic achievement of securing the top position in the HSLC exam from the Zeliang Community after decades, marking a first for Jalukie.
He encouraged students to stay grounded, embrace technology wisely, and focus on goal-setting and consistency for future success. HSLC 2025 topper, Lungyihangle Nring, dedicated her success to those who supported her. She urged fellow students to use the expectations of loved ones as motivation and to not let challenges limit their potential.
She emphasized self-belief, resilience, and continuous learning, stating that her achievement was just the beginning of a new chapter. Representatives from Jalukie Pumling Youth Organisation, Jalukie Pumling Nko, Jalukie Pumling Mipui Nko, and the Old Jalukie Village Council delivered short speeches, along with well-wishers.
