Department of Information Technology & Communication, organized a one-day workshop on “myScheme Awareness and UX4G (User Experience for Government Applications)” on May 8, 2025, at the directorate of IT&C, Kohima.
According to DIPR report, the event was held in collaboration with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) under the Ministry of Electronics and IT, with an aim to educate government officials on citizen-friendly digital platforms.
Director of IT&C, Er. Sabou Yashu, welcomed the attendees and highlighted previous training sessions on government website management and future workshops on cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. He stressed the need for government departments to keep up with technology for better public service delivery.
Delivering the keynote address, Dr. G. Hukugha Sema, commissioner and secretary of IT&C, emphasized accessibility and inclusivity in digital governance. He described myScheme, launched in 2022, as a single national platform for citizens to find information on government schemes.
He urged departments to ensure the app remains user-friendly, particularly for underprivileged communities, and encouraged collaboration for smarter and more efficient governance.
Experts Rohit Lamba, consultant for myScheme, and Neeta Tandon, senior UX/UI consultant at NeGD, MeitY, spoke on digital governance strategies, while Er. Asono Mor, additional director of IT&C, delivered the vote of thanks.
The workshop focused on two key areas. The first session covered myScheme’s vision and implementation, including technical briefings on adding Nagaland-specific schemes.
The second session, UX4G, explored design thinking and usability improvements for Government-to-Citizen (G2C) portals, featuring a case study and a walkthrough of the UX4G Design System. Government officials from various departments participated in the event.
