The Nagaland Men’s Sepaktakraw Team has made the state proud with a stellar performance at the Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) 2025, held in Patna, Bihar.

The team clinched one Silver medal in the Regu event, and two Bronze medals in the Quad and Team events, marking a historic achievement for Nagaland in the national arena.

The players demonstrated outstanding skill and determination throughout the tournament, especially in the Regu semi-final, where they made history by defeating Manipur—a traditional powerhouse in Sepaktakraw—for the first time. This significant win propelled them into the finals, where they delivered a gripping performance in a tie-break match against Delhi, eventually securing the Silver medal.

In both the Quad and Team events, the Nagaland side showcased high-level gameplay and tactical brilliance, earning them well-deserved Bronze medals and nationwide recognition.
