The Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Noklak, under Panso Block, formally inaugurated a Piggery Farm School on May 15, at Shethang (Panso Nokeng) Village.
The farm school is aimed at promoting scientific pig farming and sustainable rural livelihoods, with Pushe M appointed as the Farm School Teacher. Altogetther, 12 local farmers participated in the event.
The inauguration programme featured ATM Zulutoshi as the resource person, who provided a detailed overview of the role and significance of farm school teachers. He emphasized the economic potential of piggery, particularly in rural areas, and how it can serve as a reliable source of income and employment for farmers.
A hands-on demonstration on the care and maintenance of piggery farms was also conducted, equipping participants with practical skills necessary for efficient farm management. This was followed by an interactive group discussion, allowing farmers to share experiences and clarify doubts.
