Nagaland Police had inducted the Mahindra Thar Roxx as its latest vehicle, reports NDTV Auto.
The SUV was launched in the Indian market in 2024. Since then, the SUV has gained popularity in the country and is known for its off-road capabilities. This is the latest addition to the list of cars that have been added to the police fleet in the country, joining models like Innova, Bolero, Mahindra Thar, Mahindra Scorpio, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, and more.
In its configuration as a police vehicle, the Mahindra Thar Roxx features two blue stripes that run parallel to each other. Between these stripes, the word ‘POLICE’ is displayed prominently in a large font.
The upper part of both the front and rear windshields also displays the word ‘POLICE’. The roof is equipped with standard strobe lights typically found on police vehicles.
At the front, the Roxx police variant is also fitted with fender guides. Aside from these modifications, there are no significant customizations. Only a few accessories, like rain visors on all side doors, have been added.
Currently, the Mahindra Thar Roxx has a base price of Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and can reach up to Rs 23.09 lakh (ex-showroom). It is available with the option of a petrol or a diesel engine.
