As the adage says “A child is the father of all mankind,” and truly following the axiom, Pheto Music Association Wednesday launched the 2nd edition of the much acclaimed ‘Kids for Fame’, a talent search contest in singing for ‘Kids’ which is held every year at Purple Haze Entertainment, Nagarjan Junction, Dimapur, was dedicated by assistant pastor, Tohovi, Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church (DSBC) with a dedication prayer.
By launching the search for ‘Kid Sensation’ of the state under the banner ‘Discovering Talents To A Higher Level’, this year’s ‘Kids for Fame’ would see a sea of applicants after the organizers felt it was necessary to organize auditions in almost all the districts which would kick-start in the month of June.
Briefing media persons, Kashito Kiba, founder of Pheto Music Association, Dimapur, said it was necessary to organize such contests for kids as they are ‘jewels unexplored’, and in order to train them from an early stage to ‘foray’ into the world of music, the contest has been initiated to give them a new platform.
Also stating that the young minds have the potential to voice their talents through music, the contest was also necessitated to bring them out of their confines and also make known in the national and international platforms as well.
Keeping in mind the success and overwhelming response from the ‘Kids’ of its previous edition, the organizers have now roped in ‘Finishing Touches’, an event management factory headed by Tovikali Assumi, who has been authorized to conduct the show for this year and 2011.
Like the previous edition, the winner of this year would also walk away with prize money of Rs.2 lakh along with educational scholarship for a year and including concerts presentations and other charitable works.
