St. Joseph Parish Chumukedima hosted a women’s conference on August 15 with Tech Kithan as resource person. Delivering message on womanhood, Tech Kithan emphasised on how woman could be a ‘wonderful ambassadors’ of peace in the society and the world. Woman should walk an honest and truthful path and be allowed to enjoy the freedom to stand up fearlessly to speak the truth, Kithan said.
In his homily Rt. Rev. Jose Mukala, Bishop of Kohima spoke about Mary, mother of Jesus the great model for women. He asked every woman to pray for the country as the nation celebrated its Independence Day. Rev. Fr. Johny invoked God’s blessing and Rev Fr. Sabu Chenackal, Parish priest welcomed the gathering. The occasion was marked by quiz competition and group song with Reetha Angami reading the report and Helen thanking the participants.
