GMS Darogapathar education tour to Guwhati

A three-day educational tour was organized by the Government Middle School Darogapathar from November 5 to 8 to enhance students perception and objectivity and to create awareness through participation and personal experience.
The team comprising of 20 students and four teachers visited various places in Guwahati, including Accoland, Saraighat Brahmaputra Bridge, Kamakhya temple, Planetarium Science Museum, Kalakshetra, State Zoo and the recent blast sites etc. “Students excitement and positive responses to exposure learning were authentically evident” a statement issued by the school said and added that “government should encourage and support such educational tours for government schools where majority of students belong to Below Poverty Line (BPL) families and in today’s rapidly progressing world, they must be exposed to new and different situations of learning.”
The school also expressed gratitude to Maria Yanthan, DRC, Nagaland House Guwahati for her “logistic and unreserved hospitality towards the team.
