On observing the negligence of authority in-charge to repair the bye-pass road (Victory Road) – the only alternate means of transport of N.H. 39, Jotsoma Youth Organisation (JYO) undertook mass social work in the neglected area for welfare of the general public. The social work concluded on August 30.
According to JYO Kereingukho Rino general secretary, and Avizo Suokhrie publicity secretary, since long period the Jotsoma Village Council (JVC) and Jotsoma Youth Organisation (JYO) requested the authority in charge to repair the bye-pass road but there was no sign of progress.
Meanwhile, the organisation has expressed gratitude to all participants, NLA speaker Kiyanilie Peseyie, ADC Kohima, PWD Deptt, BRTF, Doordarshan Kohima, representative from Sechü Zubza, Kohima, Dimapur, Jotsoma Taxi Union and all individual for rendering their services both physically and financially during the mass social work.
