KOHIMA: Chief medical officer(CMO)Kohima district conducted health camp awareness on April 8 at Logwesunyu village under Tseminyu sub-division. The team was led by Dr. L. Ralte CMO, deputy CMO and district programme officer and MOs’.
Awareness on TB, HIV and AIDS, malaria and hazards of tobacco consumption were delivered by respective programme officers.
Gifts were distributed to the fully immunized children to encourage mothers on importance of immunization. Children from 0-5 years were given booster immunization.169 patients were treated with free medicines.
Blood slides for malaria collected positive cases were given immediate treatment. LLINS (long insecticide nets) were distributed to the community. ICTC services were also provided during the camp.
