Dimapur police Tuesday rescued a prominent businessman who was abducted on Monday at around 5 p.m. Receiving information of the abducted man, police sounded alert and started conducting MVCP in all the strategic points. According to police, MVCP party stationed near Sub-urban police station after a hard chase to a vehicle (Armada) bearing registration number NL-05-2324 which speeded off breaking the barricade, managed to rescue the businessman. The abductors fled abandoning the vehicle, police said. Police recovered one cellular phone from the abandoned vehicle and further investigation is on.
