The house further decided that in the aftermath of the boycott of MMC election, if any individual was found accepting the government’s nomination to form an ad hoc or Advisory Committee or any such other agency to form the MMC, “he or she shall be deemed as punishable as per Ao custom and so shall the people of Mokokchung banish the errant person from the town.”
While adopting the resolutions, the house also conveyed “deepest discontentment” that none of the MLAs from Ao community had uttered a word of concern with regard to women reservation issue.
