Despite stiff protest from opposition Congress, the Nagaland Assembly Thursday adopted the Resolution of the Ratification of Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005. Parliamentary Secretary for Social Welfare, Child and Women Development Chotisuh Sazo who introduced the bill in the House on Tuesday, sought permission of the House to pass the Resolution. The House later passed the resolution by voice vote.
