NSCN (K) cadre held

15 Assam Rifles personnel in the wee hours of Tuesday apprehended a NSCN (K) cadre and seized arm and ammunitions from his possession. The cadre identified as “sergeant major” K. Sumi of Ijhanumi village, was apprehended while the AR personnel were conducting MVCP between New Minister Hill and Agri Colony, Kohima. One 9mm pistol and seven live rounds, including some indiscriminating documents and demand notes of NSCN (K) were also recovered from the his possession. The apprehended cadre was later handed over to police.
