To analys the impact of farming situation through participatory approach on different farming commodities in the district, a scientist – farmer interaction was held at district agriculture office complex on June 10. The programme was sponsored by ATMA and organised by KVK, Mokokchung.
Main objective of the programme was to examine and draw together the potential and constraints of farmers in their farming endeavors and to convey the best possible solution regarding the location specific technologies to overcome shortfall and increase their income.
Altogether, 47 farmers from different interest groups viz. Agriculture, Vety and A.H, Plant protection and horticulture attended the programme. The overall major topics covered during the interaction session were on Field crop, Weed management, Soil fertility, Chemical and Organic fertilizers, IPM, Fruit and vegetable cultivation and Piggery (Breeding).
Scientists who facilitated the session were Siponmar (Asst. Plant breeder, SARS), Temsuienla (T.O, DAO, Mokokchung), Imnusenba (Technical assistant DHO, Mokokchung), Aoyimsen (R.A, District Vety Hospital, Mokokchung), Wati (BTM, ATMA), Akangtemjen (SMS, KVK), Renbomo.N (SMS, KVK), Moainla (P.A, KVK), Rongsen (SMS, KVK), Royuso Nakro (SMS, KVK), Samuel Sangtam (SMS, KVK).
