Agri link road at Phrutheri Khel

An agri link road near Tizu river at Phrutheri Khel under Meluri on was inaugurated on April 15 by project director DRDA, Phek, Neposo. Addressing the gathering, Neposo called on the village leaders to formulate a plan and work with a vision while adding that time frame was a must for success of any developmental work.
He said financial assistance from government through NREGA or any other schemes could be lost easily if there was no proper planning and in the long run public would be the losers. He further added that any project which was to be undertaken should be for the benefit of the community and suggested public discussion and debates be carried out before taking up any schemes.
Stating the government was ready to uplift the rural poor with more development, he however said the villagers should have a positive attitude for bringing any real developments. The project director lamented on the fact that no big projects have taken place under Meluri and called upon the gathering to initiate mega projects so as to create durable assets for future generation.
Calling upon village elders to use RD fund judiciously, the chief guest also assured to look into the matter. Village elders requested him to issue more job cards as out of 860 households only 530 households are availing job cards. Project officer DRDA Phek also attended the programme.
