Border meeting of DCs and SPs level of Jorhat and Sivasagar districts, Assam and Mokokchung district, Nagaland is scheduled to be held June 10 at Mokokchung town at the DC’s conference hall. In the first meeting, which was held in September 6, 2010 at Jorhat, unanimously decided to meet quarterly. However, the meeting could not be held due to election, census and other engagement, a DIPR report stated. The meeting is convened for coordination, maintenance of border peace and confidence building among the districts of Assam and Nagaland basing on the age-old tradition of friendship. The official team from Jorhat and Sivasagar would be represented by their respective DCs, SPs, BM, DFO and administrative officers.
