Mkg DPDB review developmental activities

Monthly meeting of Mokokchung district planning and development board (DPDB) was held on June 7 at the DC’s Conference Hall. The meeting was chaired by ADC R. Asenla Ketzar. Besides all heads of offices, the meeting was also attended by MLA I. Imkong.
SDO(C) Changtongya, Chubawati Chang highlighted various developmental activities undertaken by the government and socio-ecomomic status of the people in the sub-division. He also drew the attention of the meeting on famous Changtongya Bio-diversity Centre, Kangluto, home for Amura falcon migratory birds. He said steps were taken to protect the migratory birds during their migratory season. The house recommended to the government for grant-in-aid for nine private schools in the district, financial assistance towards Baptist Hr. Sec School, Mangkolemba and registration of Jubang welfare Society, Changki village to the government. The agenda submitted by Ao Students’ Conference for construction of Multi-cultural Complex at Mokokchung and construction of Sports Complex at Tuli seeking recommendation of the meeting was discussed but due to lack of detail information, the meeting decided to take up the issue in the next meeting.
