Parents’ Day at St. Mary’s

St. Mary’s Montessori & High School Dimapur observed its 18th Parents Day at Latika Hall, with Azheto Zhimomi MLA and Chairman Managing Committee of the school, gracing the occasion as the chief guest.
In his speech, the chief guest described the parents day as ‘pleasurable and special day’ for the parents, teachers and students alike. He emphasized on the fact that such program gives opportunity to the students to exhibit their talents, apart from the bookish knowledge and such extra circular activities brings out the best from the students. The fact that such programs are organized is a matter of delight and pride for parents to witness their children performances. He in his address stressed on the fact that hard work is the only key to be successful in life urged the students to learn not merely to get promoted and get degrees, but to give shape to their character and personality with proper guidance from the school with the help of the resources available.
He also urged that the great responsibility lies with the teachers to inculcate value education such as moral courage, tolerance, civic sense, which need to be imparted to the students.
Earlier the programme saw bible reading by Neire Kire of CL-10, inauguration with lighting a lamp by the chief guest, welcome speech by Neikonuo Sekhose of Cl-8, inaugural song by Cl-7 and 8 and number of programme by the students in honor of the parents were performed by the students.
