CSU observes black day

The Chakhesang Students Union (CSU) for the first time in its history since its inception had observed the Black Day on Friday at Kikruma village.
The day was marked in view of killing Late Achikho Puro, Games & Sports Secretary CSU for the tenure 2006-2008 who was shot dead on October 3 at AG colony, Kohima along with 3 others killed and one injured by the combined forces of NSCN-K & FGN Non-Accordist without any rhymes and reasons, according to a news report filed by Kuzhovesa Soho Stringer of a newspaper.
Addressing the gathering, the CSU President, Mutsivoyi Kotso condoled the demise of late Achikho and all others.
Urging upon all the right thinking citizens to condemned the same, he appeal to all the functionaries of the Naga National Movement functionaries to respect the sentiments of the student’s community.
This kind of tragedy which is posing a direct threat to the students should be stopped immediately, he also said that this tragedy should be the first and last of its kind so as to avoid a communication gap between the community and the functionary in the near future, Kotso asserted.
Paying its tribute to its departed, the CSU team led by its President along with students of different Institution of Kikruma laid down a wreaths in the graveyard of Late Achikho. According to the CSU official sources, the observation of Black day which was covered the whole jurisdiction Chakhesang inhabited areas, all Institutions under CSU jurisdiction had a time of remembrance to its departed leader by maintaining a 2 minutes silent prayer, the sources further disclosed that all Institutions had a fruitful time of observation today in their respective Institutions.
Meanwhile, the special ceremony which was held here at Kikruma village was attended by the CSU executives, VCC Kikruma, Zuveru and his colleagues, Former President CSU, Mutsikhoyi Yhobu, relatives of the victims, students and teachers of various Institution of Kikruma and well wishers.
