ENSF suspends stir

A day after the State government announced relaxation of the new teachers’ recruitment policy in respect of candidates who do not possess the prescribed professional qualification, with certain conditions, the Eastern Nagaland Student’s Federation (ENSF) has temporarily suspended its ongoing agitation against the policy. In this regard, ENSF has convened an emergency presidential meeting on October 31 at DUDA guest house, Kohima, at 10 a.m, to deliberate on the government’s response letter to ENSF on new teachers’ recruitment policy. ENSF requested all its executive members and advisors, federating unit presidents and general secretaries to attend the meeting. It may be mentioned the ENSF is demanding relaxation of ten years for teachers of the four districts of Mon, Tuensang, Longleng and Kiphire from the purview of the new teachers’ recruitment policy.
