Workshop on music held in Kohima

A confluence of music teachers and musicians at Hotel Japfü on Saturday witnessed a special workshop on music and its assessment led by Michael Tyler Shelton. Shelton is a musician, performer, teacher and noted adjudicator from Trinity Guildhall under the Trinity College London.
The workshop was organized to guide music teachers and students increase their standard of musicianship and to be at par with other musicians of the world.
Nagaland representative of Trinity College London, Khyochano TCK Ngully commented, “The talents of Naga musicians cannot just end up at events”. She asserted on the need to develop infrastructure and ways to sustain their music and to escalate it to be accepted and recognized worldwide.
The workshop on Saturday overlaps with the ongoing practical music examinations being conducted in Nagaland by the Trinity College of Music, London. A total of 69 musicians have Michael Tyler Shelton to adjudicate them to earn a certificate from the Trinity College of Music, London.
