Gospel group ‘Voice of Liberation’ formed

A gospel music band ‘Voice of Liberation’ was formally launched November 23 at NCRC Sümi, Kohima.
Pastor Yehoto Swu, in his speech lauded young mothers for their desire to work for the Lord.
He also lamented that though Nagaland was basically a Christian state, which boasts of having the 99% of its population practicing Christianity a lot, was felt to be desired.
He said apart from rock music, pop culture, entertainment and other issues, the Church ministry as well as the common people’s attitude including the media towards popularizing Christian activities and Gospel values was found wanting.
While encouraging the congregation he expressed the hope that not just the church but Naga people from all the quarters would work together by using God’s gift in different areas to work for His God’s glory.
