Call to amplify youth movement in state

Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), the largest youth organisation in India formed its Nagaland state committee here at Diphupar Council Hall Wednesday with a clarion call for increasing youth movement to strengthen the society through youth mobilization.
Addressing the formation programme of DYFI Nagaland state committee as chief guest DYFI general secretary, Tapas Sinha appealed the youth to work hard with a view to draw support of people for brining a revolution to the society.
Enunciating DYFI slogan ‘jobs for all – education for all’ Sinha urged the members to mobilize signature campaigns against unjust policies of the government.
He also urged DYFI state committee to fight against unemployment, demand for a comprehensive youth policy, education policy from the government while also raise development issues.
Alleging that central government was not serious in dealing with problems in North East region and Nagaland in particular, DYFI general secretary further called upon the youth to press demand from the government for better facility.
Sinha while stating that DYFI has a bigger and important role to play in the society called upon the comrades to discharge their responsibilities in strengthening and extending the organisation.
He said that DYFI was not a wing of any political party nor inclined towards any political system, adding anyone could become its member. He further pointed out that DYFI had been conducting several agitations against unemployment and other issues country wide.
The formation programme was chaired by DYFI state committee vice president, Zuchumo Lotha, welcome note was delivered by state DYFI secretary, E Philip Lotha, vote of thanks by state DYFI joint secretary, Yanger Molier while state DYFI treasurer, Azo Miachie-o offered the invocation.
It may be mentioned that DYFI state committee has 902 members at the time of formation. Parent DYFI formed in the 1980 November 1 has a total member of 1 crore 80 lakh through out the country and is federated with World Federation of Democratic Youth.
