Mon District ‘Legal Services Week’ with the declaration of 2008 as ‘Legal Services Week’ in the state by the State Legal Services Authority Nagaland along with the rest of the districts would culminate on November 28.
The activities assigned for the week include Lok Adalat, Motor Vehicle Adalat, Seminar on topics ‘Plea Bargaining’, ‘Rights of weaker Section of the Society (Women & Children)’, ‘General Provisions under the Legal Services Authority Act, 1987’ and ‘Consumer Rights’.
At Mon, poster campaigning already started November 24. Lok Adalat would be conducted at Sub-Jail, Mon on November 27, and Motor Vehicles Adalat-cum-Seminar on Legal Awareness will be held on November 28 at Government Higher Secondary School, Mon, chaired by DC Mon Dinesh Kumar, IAS.
