Lok Sabha MP from Nagaland C.M. Chang has appealed to the railway minister to change the nomenclature from BG (broad gauge) express to Nagaland express. In a letter to Union Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee, the MP said the “sluggish pace” of construction of train station at Dimapur –– the only railway station in Nagaland –– has turned to be “a living nightmare for all and has been even worse.” The lone Lok Sabha MP from Nagaland further asked Mamata to look into the matter and direct responsible division for immediate action to fulfill minimum basic structure. Other demands that Chang placed before the railway minister included roofing of platform No: 2 & 3; extension of shed adjoining station building by removing of one rail track; installation of purified drinking water facilities; construction of landing stairs for over bridge line no-2 and increase of reservation system quota in all trains.
