KBTA 32nd conference in Wokha

Society can move forward only when they unearth the “key”, said member general council, (NIEPMD) ministry of social, justice and empowerment Government of India, Thomas Ngullie on Sunday.
He said this while making a clarion call to the theologians and people of Wokha village at the 32nd Kyong (Lotha) Baptist Theological Association (KBTA) conference at Wokha Village Baptist Church.
He reiterated that the best “key” in human life was to appreciate others for their hard labor and felt the society was lacking in many fields as people often fail to acknowledge others. In order to move forward, he urged the people of Wokha village to begin with “good deeds from among themselves”.
Reminding the gathering to take note of leaders that are ready to stand for their tomorrow, the former minister said Wokha village was has been blessed as the village had been entrusted by the God to lead the Lothas.
Viewing the ever increasing number of theologians in the state every year, he believed they (theologians) should not remain confined at home but to look beyond for avenues and opportunities.
It may be noted that the 32nd Kyong (Lotha) Baptist Theological Association conference began on Saturday.
Earlier, on the first day, the conference got underway with an opening prayer by KBES executive secretary, Rev Dr. E. Nrio Ezung. Greetings were delivered by DC Wokha, NCS Rovilatuo Mor and Mhonyamo Yanthan who spoke on “the current socio-religious life of the Kyong: A theological concern”. Minister for agriculture, Dr. Chumben Murry exhorted the gathering on the first day.
Other speakers of the conference were principal Mt. TTC, Zanbemo Kithan, executive secretary Police Baptist Churches Association, Rev. Dr. Mong Humtsoe, NBCC finance secretary, Rev. R.P. Murry and CNY director Lotha Baptist Chruch Dimapur, Elizabeth C. Ovung.
The valedictory programme was held on Sunday evening. Deputy director Land Resources, Renbeni Jami to delivered the exhortation.
