Another inferno broke out at Aoyimkum village, Dimapur on Thursday morning while the owner was away to gather firewood in a nearby area.
Talking to this reporter, the owner of the house, Imyanglula an 85-year old hailing from Longjang village said on hearing cracking noises of wood burning, she rushed back only to find her house reduced to ashes.
She further estimated the total cost of assets lost in the inferno was around `5 lakhs.
Imyanglula lives with her grandson, was at school at the time of the incident. However no casualties were reported till the time of filing this report.
