Airtel with highest new customers in east

Bharti Airtel, India’s leading mobile service provider maintains its leadership in east by adding highest number of new mobile customers across entire east in October and has achieved a record of 5crores. According to a press note, Airtel alone has added over 5 lakh new customers in the month of October, with a total of over 1.5crores customers only on Airtel network and touched the lives of over 75% of the population across the states of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, Assam and North East. Airtel has widened its lead over competitors in the last 12 months by reaching out to more villages than any other operator in the Eastern region.
As per COAI dated October 2008, Airtel has a total customer base of over 1.5crores in east with presence in over 1000 towns and 1,00,000 villages in east. Airtel has penetrated in rural areas with affordable products as Lifetime, Value 299, Handset bundle offers with Nokia and Super Value Vouchers.
Airtel’s initiatives around Durga Pujo, Sankranti, Rath Yatra and Bihu, Childrens Day has touched lives of under-privileged children and the society as a whole. With innovative launches as Voice SMS, Music on Demand, M-Chek services across east. It has also redefined VAS usage amongst customers and also helped in the growth of the state’s economy contributing largely to the overall development of the state.
