Gas leak causes fire at Eros lane

DIMAPUR, APR 21: A fire broke out after a gas leak in the kitchen of a restaurant at Eros Lane, here Thursday. However there were no casualties.
The fire started at around 7 p.m. and lasted for about 30 minutes before firefighters extinguished it. Eyewitnesses said, around four to five LPG cylinders exploded during the incident.
The fire could have been devastating had it not been the timely intervention of the firefighters.
With regard to this, the Eros Lane colony GB and chairman have expressed their gratitude to the fire personnel for their swift response.
Though there was no official confirmation with regard to the extent of damage caused by the fire, the colony authorities said the estimated loss could be over one lakh rupees.
