Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union, Dimapur (ENSUD) has served an “ultimatum” to the organizing committee, Hornbill International Motor Rally, Nagaland Adventure Motor & Sports Association  (NAMSA) expressing its “deep resentment and indignation” over the alleged “discrimination” to competitor No. 166, Ms. H. Lemei Phom.

A letter addressed to NAMSA warned that if the association failed to immediately redress points raised by ENSUD with regard to the denial of the position secured by the competitor, the union would “resort to its own course of action” within 72 hours (3days) from the date of the ultimatum.

ENSUD has also reiterated its position and demanded NAMSA to issue a “public apology” besides the “rectification of the prize distributed”. It has once again sought “concreted clarification” on why Ms. H. Lemei Phom was discriminated. The union hoped that NAMSA “will ensure justice at the earliest” to the “oppressed” competitor.

It may be recalled that Ms. H. Lemei, supported by ENSUD had said that she was “declared” 2nd position in the provisional result of the women’s category but was denied her position during the prize distribution.
