Two persons were killed and another injured in a road mishap at 4th mile near Diphupar Police Station here on Sunday.
According to police sources a sand laden truck (NL-03A 1278) proceeding towards Pughoboto rammed into an oncoming motorcycle (NL 07 J 2704) with three occupants at around 5 p.m. The truck later rammed into a house dragging the bike.
The deceased were identified as Oqais Ahmed (19) a student of Bethesda Higher Secondary School and Md. Saddam Hussain (20). Md. Saddam died on the spot while Ahmed succumbed to his injury at Zion Hospital. The injured was identified as Jungu (25) and admitted to Zion Hospital in serious condition. The driver of the truck identified Vipito Sema has been remanded to police custody.
