CYCLONIC STORM: Houses damaged by the storm at Khonoma. (NP)
Powerful cyclonic storm that lashed various places in Nagaland May 3, killing three persons in Zunheboto and injuring another two, also left a trail of destruction at Khonoma village, damaging at least 66 houses including a guest house of Christian Revival Church.
According to district administration, several hectares of forests were completely destroyed, a DIPR report stated.
Although no casualties have been informed, the strong rains and winds also destroyed a number of granaries, sheds and animal shelters.
The power line to the village has also been completely snapped since yesterday.
