Dreamers Education Foundation under the aegis of National Environment Awareness Campaign (NEAC) 2012 conducted a drawing competition and tree plantation with the theme ‘Forest and climate amelioration’ on March 14 and 15 at Dreamers Vineyard Boarding House, 7 mile, Model village, Chumukedima.
In the competition, first prize was won by Sanwiliu Rangkaulung, second by Shangmaso Keishing and third by Nengchin Rose.
100 Asoka and 25 Mango saplings with protective bamboo barrier have been planted by students along the by-lane connecting the boarding house which usually gets flooded during rainy season as it is situated in a low-lying without drainage.
