Nagaland State level NCC ‘C’ certificate exam for NCC cadets of various schools and colleges of Nagaland was conducted at Kohima on Saturday at Karim auditorium and Parade Ground of 16 AR.
A total of 107 NCC Cadets, of various colleges and Higher Secondary Schools, including Dimapur Government College, Dimapur, Kohima College, Kohima, Kohima Science College, Jotsoma; St. Joseph College, Jakhama; Mt Olive College, Kohima, Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung and Sao Chang Government College, Tuensang, as well as Greenwood School, Dimapur and Little Flower HSS, Kohima, appeared for the ‘C’ Certificate examination.
The written exam was followed by a practical examination, wherein cadets’ skills in various military subjects like drill, weapon handling and field-craft and map reading were tested on ground by the invigilation team.
The exam was held under the aegis of NCC Group HQ, Kohima under the supervision of Colonel Abhay Singh, Group Commander. Cadets of 1 Nagaland Girls Battalion NCC, Kohima, commanded by Lt. Col Joy Choudhury, 24 Nagaland (Indep) Company NCC, Kohima commanded by a decorated army officer Colonel Paramvir Yadav, Sena Medal and the 25 Nagaland (Indep) Company NCC, Mokokchung commanded by Colonel G Vinod, appeared for the examination.
