EAC & chairman, Market Management Committee, Purana Bazaar, Thejavizo Nakhro, has through a notice has directed allottees of stalls at Purana Bazaar to submit a copy of their allotment agreement for verification and pay the outstanding rent for the room within 30 days.
The EAC through DIPR said that several allottees were not paying room rent for several years at Purana Bazaar Market which is a breach of the rent agreement and makes the allotees liable for termination of allotment of the said rooms.
Failure to pay the outstanding rent shall render the allotment liable for cancellation as per the terms of agreement, the notice stated.
