A poultry immunization programme against Raniket disease was organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, NRC on Mithun, Porba at Pfutseromi village on May 23. The programme was held to demonstrate the farmers about the efficacy of vaccination and make them understand how they may save their birds from this dreaded disease.
The camp was led by Dr. Debojyoti Borkotoky SMS (animal science) and assisted by Rokongulie, Veterinary Field Assistant, NRC Mithun. Two thousand local and kroiler birds of the village were vaccinated.
Pastor Rev. L. Ritse expressed gratitude on behalf of the village to the programme coordinator, KVK, Porba and director, NRC Mithun (ICAR) for their valuable service to the farming community of the village.
