Students from St. Joseph’s College will be taking part in international programs in U.S.A, Canada, and Thailand this summer.

Four students, Ikali Ayemi, T.S. Newry Anal, Pijamo Ngullie, and Myingthunglo Lotha will go to Bangkok from June 16 to 22 along with three teachers, Alibo Achumi, Ruuseno Rosalia and Mhonthung Yanthan.

They will give a presentation on Naga culture and life at St. Joseph’s College. They will interact with the staff and students of Bangkok University in addition to sightseeing.

Dzüvinguno Dorothy Chasie has been selected by the U.S. Department of State in a program for student leaders on women’s leadership from June 22 to July 27.

Dorothy will be placed at the University of Kansas, Lawrence, and attend the summer institute on women’s leadership from the Heartland.

The purpose of the program is to provide groups of undergraduate student leaders with a deeper understanding of the United States, while simultaneously enhancing their leadership skills.

The institute will examine the history and participation of women in public life in the United States.
Kikali Chishi will go to King’s University College, Canada, to attend the English Language Proficiency Quickstart Program from July 15.

This is in continuation of the international exchange program that St. Joseph’s has signed with King’s University College.

“These international exchange programs will enhance the education of the students,” says Fr. Abraham Lotha, Principal, St. Joseph’s College.
