NNC/FGN nabs 2 with drugs

NNC/FGN Phom region authority November 1 apprehended two persons near Local ground for possessing 720 tablets of banned Spasmo Proxyvon (SP) worth Rs.36, 000 on the black market.

In a press release, NNC/FGN Phom Region deputy kilonser Hamshau Phom stated that the two persons were caught red-handed by town command they were on their way to sell drugs to the users of Longleng town and nearby villages.

The two were identified as K.Ngamtok Phom, son of late Kangting Phom and his wife I.Khamlong Phom, of Hukphang village under Longleng Sadar.

The release stated that Ngamtok managed to escape from their custody leaving behind his wife. Following interrogation, NNC/FGN Phom region stated that Khamlong was released on the condition that they would never repeat such act in future and if found indulging the act the authority shall initiate any kind of action as per the “Azah” of the “Naga government”.

Further, the NNC/FGN Phom Region warned of taking action against all those peddlers and users within the jurisdiction of Longleng district.

It stated that seized banned drugs would be handed over to the NGOs of the district and district administration for destroying at the earliest.
