District Institute of Education & Training (DIET) Mokokchung conducted one-day awareness programme on disaster management, as partial fulfilment of its life skills training programme, September 29 with the initiative of Mokokchung SDO (civil) Rajesh. A team of six members headed by DPO Wangshi, assistant commissioner Mokokchung, Samuel Paul were the resource persons. At the awareness programme, DIET Mokokchung principal Dr. Nokrenchila gave a welcome address, which was followed by an introduction by Samuel Paul, on natural and man-made disasters and their various aspects. The practical session was conducted in the afternoon with the participation of the teacher trainees. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by programme –in-charge assistant professor, Anungla Aier.
