Village Council, GBs, and public of Xuivi village have vehemently condemned the attempt on the life of Ghukiho T Zhimomi, son of Toshiho Naga, head GB of Xuivi village and home secretary of GPRN/NSCN, by unidentified gunmen near Naga United Village on February 7.
GBs of Xuivi village, Phoishe Zhimomi and Hokiho Zhimomi said perpetrators of such act who traumatised the wife and children who were in the same vehicle should be condemned by all right thinking citizens. It added that such incident could have been avoided at this juncture when people are striving for peace and tranquility across all section of Naga society.
The two GBs have urged law enforcing agency to initiate proper investigation and book the culprits at the earliest and further wished speedy recovery to the injured person.
In a separate statement, Xuivi Welfare Society Kohima (XWSK) has strongly condemned the life attempt on Ghukiho Jimo by unidentified people while he was travelling with his wife and children. XWSK chairman has appealed to the concerned authority to take necessary action and apprehend the culprits at the earliest. The society prayed for the speedy recovery for Ghukiho Jimo.
